Vision

The church is the people of God who gather to praise and give thanks to God, to pray for and support each other, our community and the world.

Our Benefice, as the name suggests, covers three distinct communities. We have three churches, St John’s, St Luke’s and St Mark’s that serve these communities.

Our churches have their own unique character and support their community in their own particular way. All three churches are united in the common goal of spreading the knowledge and love of Christ within our communities.

The past

Our churches have been the centres of worship to our communities for many generations. However, a church is much more than a place of worship, it is a place of peace and solace, of celebration and consolation, of education and liberation. Over the centuries our congregations have supported our communities through natural disasters, pestilence, famine, civil war, world wars and civil strife. They have also supported people in times of adversity and celebrated with them in times of blessings and prosperity.

The Present

Our work continues today in regular worship, children's work, study groups, sickness and bereavement pastoral care as well as baptisms and weddings and in many other forms of ministry to the community.

The Future

Our church community is dedicated to

· share the Good News of Jesus Christ with our whole community;

· grow disciples of Christ with Compassion, Confidence and Courage;

· maintain a Christian foundation and presence at the heart of our community;

· bring the love and joy of Christ to all who seek Him;
