St John’s Church, Carlton in Lindrick
Is holding a Memorial Service for all who wish to remember their dearly departed loved ones.
At 6pm on Sunday 9th November 2025.
CHRISTMAS FAYRE 2025.
Saturday 15th. November from 10.30 am to 1.00pm.
Prizes are urgently needed for the Raffle, Tombola and Pluck-a-Duck as well as bottles for the Bottle Stall.
There will be a Craft Stall, a Cake and Produce Stall and Games.
Please let Liz know if you can help on the day even if only for a short time.
Please support the 2025 Shoebox Appeal … Operation Christmas Child
Shoeboxes are available at the back of St John’s Church along with a list of suitable & unsuitable items for inclusion in the boxes. Soap is not allowed this year. Please fill a box if you can; donate 1 or 2 items to add to a shoebox or give money towards the transport of the shoeboxes (The suggested amount is £5 per box). You could buy a church postcard (£1 each) & write a message or prayer to enclose in a box (supporting both St John’s church and contributing to the shoebox appeal). Please encourage family & friends to participate too.
Shoeboxes need to be returned to church by 9th November (Remembrance Sunday) please.
The shoebox appeal supports our church mission as children have the opportunity to learn about the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Volunteers needed
Help is still needed for some important tasks within our church community.
eg sorting money received each week, claiming Gift Aid and helping our treasurer.
It also be helpful if 2 or 3 people could take charge of White Elephants and run this stall at church Car Boot sales.
Please speak to churchwardens if you could help.
Government advice will be followed in relation to social distancing and the use of face masks. There will also be a limit to the number of people allowed into the building. We will have to adapt to any changes in advice and regulations as they develop over time.
